What exactly is silicone?

Working of silicon wire
As previously stated, silicone wire is insulating with silicone, a form of rubber. This rubber component makes the wire highly flexible in harsh situations. The flexibility provided by the rubber feature also allows the silicone wire to maintain its shape/structure when subjected to high temperatures or other harsh environmental conditions.
Silicon insulator has a greater melting temperature than many other materials. This allows the wire to become significantly hotter without melting the insulators or catching fire. This improved temperature management ability is safe and dependable, notably in the prevention of harmful explosions.
However, in order to achieve the best performance in terms of high-temperature resistance and versatility, you must select the proper wire. Thinner silicone wires are often more heat resistant and flexible than thicker ones. Thinner wires are lighter, and hence have a higher degree of flexibility. In addition, silicone wire is indeed an excellent choice for high-temperature numerous applications between 103°F to 482°F.
